Sharing the Stories of Our Creations
I'm feeling especially grateful to get to share the story of my current front yard art installation through the lovely story written by Susan Fleischman for Zebra, Good News in Alexandria The photo above is one from Susan's visit to my workshop and several more of her photos in the article share steps of the creative process. It's been a unique experience to exhibit work in my front yard. I'm thankful for the messages viewers have sent and for the many who have written with messages about their visits.
We often think of art viewers as passive, simply receiving or admiring what they see.
In fact, it is interaction with viewers that animates creative work. I'm thankful for both the chance to share my story behind my work and for all the stories shared with me from people coming to visit it. It's been a unique gift to connect through sharing this work and my process in my own front yard.
I'd love to hear your stories of creative process too. Email me.
Artwork for Sale
I've received several inquiries about purchasing sets of prayer flags. I am making a limited number of sets with supplies I have available and they can be purchased for local pick-up or shipped domestically.
I'm also offering a very mini zine of the collection of images.
